Lou Allen (Louis Eugene Allen) was born on July 12, 1924 in Gadsden, Alabama. After going to high school at Greensboro (NC), Allen attended Duke University. Allen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1951 was Lou Allen's best year.
Passed away April 16th, 2008 after a short illness.
