Who says this town needs the NFL? Los Angeles, California, is home to some of the most successful sports franchises in history. The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers have won a combined twenty world championships. In addition to pro sports, USC Football has captured 11 National Championships and UCLA Basketball has won 11 National titles as well. UCLA and USC have more National Championships in all sports than anyother Division 1-A school. Los Angeles continues to host major sporting events such as the 2004 NBA All-Star Game and the Rose Bowl each January
