Born on January 14, 1869 in Louisville, Kentucky, Lev Shreve (Leven Lawrence Shreve) played for the Indianapolis Hoosiers and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 3 year career. Shreve broke into the bigs on May 2, 1887 with the Indianapolis Hoosiers, and put up a 4.50 ERA in 160 innings pitched in 1887, his rookie year.
