Letuli's grandfather is Paramount Chief Letuli who started fireknife dancing...great-grandfather is His Highness Malietoa Tanumafili, the current King of Independent Samoa.

A 2005 graduate of North Torrance High School in Torrance, Calif... recorded 42 knockdowns and did not allow a sack in 2004... named league's Offensive Player of the Year as a senior...also a first-team all-CIF and all-league (Pioneer) as a senior...named first-team all-area by the Daily Breeze...team captain as a senior...also lettered in track (shotput and discus).
