Larry Owen (Lawrence Thomas Owen) was born on May 31, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on August 14, 1981 for the Atlanta Braves. In 1987, his rookie year, he hit .189 with 5 home runs and 14 RBI. Owen played for the Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 6 year career.
