Larry Cox (Larry Eugene Cox) was born on September 11, 1947 in Bluffton, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on April 18, 1973 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1979, his rookie year, he hit .215 with 4 home runs and 36 RBI. Cox played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Seattle Mariners, Chicago Cubs and Texas Rangers over the course of his 9 year career.
