Kile Macwherter (William Kile MacWherter) was born on July 19, 1892 in Decatur, Illinois. After going to high school at Stephen Decatur (Decatur, IL), Macwherter attended Bethany College and Millikin University. Macwherter made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Decatur Staleys. He played for the Decatur Staleys for his entire 1 year career.
