[edit] Biography

Born on November 3, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri, Ken Holtzman (Kenneth Dale Holtzman) played for the Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 15 year career. Holtzman broke into the bigs on September 4, 1965 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 3.79 ERA in 220.2 innings pitched in 1966, his rookie year.
