Ken Avery (Kenneth William Avery) was born on May 23, 1944 in New York, New York. After going to high school at South Dade (Miami, FL), Avery attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Avery made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the New York Giants. He played in the NFL for 8 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs over the course of his 8 year NFL career.Avery also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals the entire time.
Most people believe that 1973 was Ken Avery's best year.
