Kelvin Chapman (Kelvin Keith Chapman) was born on June 2, 1956 in Willits, California. He made his Major League debut on April 5, 1979 for the New York Mets. In 1984, his rookie year, he hit .289 with 3 home runs and 23 RBI. Chapman played for the New York Mets for his entire 3 year career.
