[edit] Biography
Keenan Burton was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 29, 1984. He is a senior wide receiver for the University of Kentucky.
Burton played both quarterback and safety in high school and was named one of the top 22 seniors in Kentucky by the Lexington Herald-Leader. He was a top-10 prospect in Kentucky according to a number of publications.
Burton got off to a good start at Kentucky, starting five games as a freshman and catching two touchdowns amongst his 20 catches, and was named to the Freshman All-SEC team by the Knoxville News-Sentinel. He broke his wrist before his sophomore year, however, and played only two games before sitting out as a medical redshirt. His "second" sophomore year, 2005, was a solid rebound year, as he was second on the team in both catches (24) and receiving yards (365), in spite of four games missed due to injury with a broken foot.
As a junior, Burton earned first-team All-SEC honors as an all-purpose player and second-team honors as a wide receiver. He was only the third player in school history to post 1,000 yards in a season, and his 12 touchdowns lead the SEC. He had 141.9 all-purpose yards when you include his kick returning yards, and versus in-state rival Louisville, Burton put up 312 all-purpose yards.
In 2007, Burton continued his impressive numbers, including an eight catch, 83 yard, two touchdown performance in an overtime loss to Tennessee in his final home performance.

[edit] Scouting Report
Burton allegedly has a 43.5" vertical jump, making him an intriguing player who can jump over most cornerbacks. Burton once claimed that he "can out-jump any [collegiate] defensive back, and [is] a very versatile receiver." He sees himself "a deep threat as well as being able to catch the ball over the middle."[1]
Burton has missed extended time due to injury twice over the course of his career, putting his durability in question.
