June Jones (June Sheldon Jones, III) was born on February 19, 1953 in Portland, Oregon. After going to high school at Grant (Portland, OR), Jones attended Portland State University, the University of Hawaii and the University of Oregon. Jones made his professional debut in the NFL in 1977 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1979 was June Jones's best year.
Currently the head football coach at SMU.
