Jose Vidro (Jose Angel (Cetty) Vidro) was born on August 27, 1974 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on June 8, 1997 for the Montreal Expos. In 1997, his rookie year, he hit .249 with 2 home runs and 17 RBI. Vidro played for the Montreal Expos and Washington Nationals over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Jose Vidro's best season was 2000, when he slugged 24 home runs, hit for a .330 average and knocked in 97 runs.

He and wife Annette have 2 children (Jose, Jr. and Anaie)...attended Blanco Morales High School in Sabana Grande, PR...through the Jose Vidro Foundation, helps sick children and sponsors baseball camps...showcased island of Puerto Rico as host of This Week in Baseball in 2003...hobbies include fishing, hunting, movies and video games.

in the 2006 season: Didn't have right knee problems for the first time since the first half of the 2003 season, but he spent a month on the disabled list because of a strained left hamstring. Played first base eight times this season. Has a career .301 batting average.
