Born on November 28, 1972 in Jacagua, Santiago (Dominican Republic), Jose Parra (Jose Miguel Parra) played for the Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Mets over the course of his 5 year career. Parra broke into the bigs on May 7, 1995 with the Minnesota Twins, and put up a 7.12 ERA in 72 innings pitched in 1995, his rookie year.
