Born on March 4, 1891 in Havana, Cuba, Jose Acosta (Jose Acosta) played for the Washington Senators and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 3 year career. Acosta broke into the bigs on July 28, 1920 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.03 ERA in 82.2 innings pitched in 1920, his rookie year.
