Johnny Lindell (John Harlan Lindell) was born on August 30, 1916 in Greeley, Colorado. He made his Major League debut on April 18, 1941 for the New York Yankees. In 1943, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 4 home runs and 51 RBI. Lindell played for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Johnny Lindell's best season was 1944, when he slugged 18 home runs, hit for a .300 average and knocked in 103 runs.
