John Tsoutsouvas (John Samuel Tsoutsouvas) was born on October 8, 1917 in Madera, California. After going to high school at Santa Barbara (CA), Tsoutsouvas attended Oregon State University and Ventura College. Tsoutsouvas made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
