John Settle (John R. Settle) was born on June 2, 1965 in Reidsville, North Carolina. After going to high school at Rockingham County (Ruffin, NC), Settle attended Appalachian State University. Settle made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1988 was John Settle's best year, as he ran for 1024 yards, ran in 7 TDs, hauled in 68 receptions and had 570 receiving yards.
