John Meyer (John Edwin Meyer) was born on February 20, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Brother Rice (Chicago, IL), Meyer attended the University of Notre Dame. Meyer made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 1 year career.
