Born on August 21, 1956 in Houston, Texas, John Henry Johnson (John Henry Johnson) played for the Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 8 year career. Johnson broke into the bigs on April 10, 1978 with the Oakland Athletics, and put up a 3.39 ERA in 186 innings pitched in 1978, his rookie year.

Most people believe that John Henry Johnson's best season was 1978, when he posted a 3.39 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 91 batters.
