John Carney (John Michael Carney) was born on April 20, 1964 in Hartford, Connecticut. After going to high school at Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach, FL), Carney attended the University of Notre Dame. Carney made his professional debut in the NFL in 1988 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has played for the San Diego Chargers, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the course of his 19 year career.
Most people believe that 2002 was John Carney's best year, as he made 31 field goals.
