John Cannella (John Matthew Cannella) was born on February 8, 1908 in New York, New York. After going to high school at William L. Dickinson (Jersey City, NJ), Cannella attended Fordham University. Cannella made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 2 year career.
