John Bettridge (John W. Bettridge) was born on March 19, 1910 in Sandusky, Ohio. After going to high school at Sandusky (OH), Bettridge attended Ohio State University. Bettridge made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Cleveland Rams. He played for the Cleveland Rams for his entire 1 year career.
