John Abraham Gets a Franchise Tag

The New York Jets placed the franchise tag on star defensive end John Abraham Abraham guarantees an $8.332 million one-year deal if he signs the qualifying offer. In 2005, Abraham racked-up 10.5 sacks and forced six fumbles. There is some speculation that the Jets will trade Abraham for draft picks to gain some cushion under the salary cap.
