Joe Windbiel (Joseph C. Windbiel) was born on March 6, 1897 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at University of Dayton Prep (Dayton, OH), Windbiel attended the University of Dayton. Windbiel made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Evansville Crimson Giants. He played for the Evansville Crimson Giants for his entire 1 year career.
