Joe Visner (Joseph Paul Visner) was born on September 27, 1859 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He made his Major League debut on July 4, 1885 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1889, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 8 home runs and 68 RBI. Visner played for the Baltimore Orioles, Brooklyn Bridegrooms, Pittsburgh Burghers, Washington Senators and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Joe Visner's best season was 1890, when he knocked in 71 runs.
