Joe Lovitto (Joseph Lovitto) was born on January 6, 1951 in San Pedro, California. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1972 for the Texas Rangers. In 1972, his rookie year, he hit .224 with 1 home run and 19 RBI. Lovitto played for the Texas Rangers for his entire 4 year career.
