Joe Looney (Joe Don Looney) was born on October 10, 1942 in San Angelo, Texas. After going to high school at Farragut Academy (St. Petersburg, FL) and Paschal (Fort Worth, TX), Looney attended Cameron University, Texas Christian University, the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas. Looney made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions and Baltimore Colts over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1965 was Joe Looney's best year, as he ran in 5 TDs.
