Joe Leonard (Joseph Howard Leonard) was born on November 15, 1894 in West Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 24, 1914 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1916, his rookie year, he hit .271 with 0 home runs and 14 RBI. Leonard played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 4 year career.
