Jimmy Williams (James Thomas Williams) was born on December 20, 1876 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1899 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1899, his rookie year, he hit .355 with 9 home runs and 116 RBI. Williams played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles, New York Highlanders and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Jimmy Williams's best season was 1899, when he stole 26 bases, hit for a .355 average and knocked in 116 runs.
