Jimmy Johnston (James Everett Johnston) was born on April 16, 1917 in Parma, Idaho. After going to high school at Caldwell (ID), Johnston attended the University of Washington. Johnston made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1940 was Jimmy Johnston's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
