Jimmy German (James German) was born on November 6, 1917 in Louisville, Kentucky. After going to high school at Du Pont Manual (Louisville, KY), German attended Centre College. German made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and Washington Redskins over the course of his 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1939 was Jimmy German's best year.
