Jimmy Conzelman (James Gleason Dunn) was born on March 6, 1898 in St. Louis, Missouri. After going to high school at McKinley (St. Louis, MO), Conzelman attended Washington University in St. Louis. Conzelman made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Decatur Staleys. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Rock Island Independents and Decatur Staleys over the course of his 2 year APFA career.Conzelman also played in the NFL for 8 years, playing for the Providence Steam Roller, Detroit Panthers, Milwaukee Badgers and Rock Island Independents over the course of his 8 year NFL career.
