Jim Woodruff (James L. Woodruff) was born on February 11, 1904 in , NE. After going to high school at Hillsboro (IL), Woodruff attended the University of Pittsburgh. Woodruff made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Buffalo Bisons and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career.
