Jim Wagstaff (James Burke Wagstaff) was born on June 12, 1936 in American Falls, Idaho. After going to high school at American Falls (ID), Wagstaff attended Idaho State University. Wagstaff made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Cardinals the entire time. Wagstaff also played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time.
Most people believe that 1960 was Jim Wagstaff's best year, as he picked off 6 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
