Jim Summers (James Summers) was born on December 23, 1945 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. After going to high school at Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC), Summers attended Michigan State University. Summers made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos for his entire 1 year career.
