Jim Psaltis (David James Psaltis) was born on December 14, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at Alameda (CA), Psaltis attended San Jose State University and the University of Southern California. Psaltis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1955 was Jim Psaltis's best year, as he picked off 4 passes, ran back an interception for a touchdown and recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
