Jim Poole (James Eugene Poole) was born on September 9, 1915 in Gloster, Mississippi. After going to high school at Natchez (MS), Poole attended the University of Mississippi. Poole made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1946 was Jim Poole's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
