Jim McCauley (James Adelbert McCauley) was born on March 24, 1863 in Stanley, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 1884 for the St. Louis Browns. McCauley played for the St. Louis Browns, Chicago White Stockings, Buffalo Bisons and Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers over the course of his 3 year career.
