Jim Lawson (James Wilmer Lawson) was born on March 11, 1902 in Long Beach, California. Lawson attended Stanford University. Lawson made his professional debut in the AFLG in 1926 with the Los Angeles Wildcats. He played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the Los Angeles Wildcats the entire time. Lawson also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the New York Yankees the entire time.
