Born on March 25, 1945 in Tulare, California, Jim Ellis (James Russell Ellis) played for the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career. Ellis broke into the bigs on August 11, 1967 with the Chicago Cubs.
