Jim Eiden (Harold Charles Eiden) was born on October 16, 1901 in Evanston, Illinois. After going to high school at DePaul Academy (Chicago, IL), Eiden attended none. Eiden made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Louisville Colonels. He played for the Louisville Colonels for his entire 1 year career.
