Jiggs Parrott (Walter Edward Parrott) was born on July 14, 1871 in Portland, Oregon. He made his Major League debut on July 11, 1892 for the Chicago Colts. In 1892, his rookie year, he hit .201 with 2 home runs and 22 RBI. Parrott played for the Chicago Colts for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that Jiggs Parrott's best season was 1894, when he stole 30 bases and knocked in 64 runs.
