Jets Dump Law & Others

6
Vote

The New York Jets cut former Patriots cornerback Ty Law, QB Jay Fiedler, OT Jason Fabini, and FB Jerald Sowell from their roster. The Jets cut these players, all NFL veterans, to reduce salary. The cutting of Ty Law leaves former Patriots defensive coordinator Eric Mangini with one less familiar face on the team he's taken over from Herm Edwards. The Jets will now attempt to negotiate a contract agreement with injury-prone Chad Pennington.

So who will pick up Law? Any takers? Maybe the Eagles, or some other team that doesn't care about personality?

That is a great bargaining chip! Threaten to put Pennington on the field with one less offensive linemand and no fullback. That'll make him think twice about staying around.

This is part of the patented Seattle Mariners "Let's get all our decent players to flee the city" strategy of running a team
