Born on December 22, 1893 in Stephenville, Texas, Jesse Winters (Jesse Franklin Winters) played for the New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 5 year career. Winters broke into the bigs on May 3, 1919 with the New York Giants, and put up a 3.63 ERA in 114 innings pitched in 1921, his rookie year.
