Jerry McNertney (Gerald Edward McNertney) was born on August 7, 1936 in Boone, Iowa. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1964 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1964, his rookie year, he hit .215 with 3 home runs and 23 RBI. McNertney played for the Chicago White Sox, Seattle Pilots, Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Jerry McNertney's best season was 1969, when he knocked in 55 runs.
