Jerry Cowhig (Gerard Finbar Cowhig) was born on July 5, 1922 in Dorchester, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Marianpolis Academy (CT) and Mechanics Arts (Boston, MA), Cowhig attended the University of Notre Dame. Cowhig made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1948 was Jerry Cowhig's best year.
