Jeff West (Jeffrey Harold West) was born on April 6, 1953 in Wheeling, Virginia. After going to high school at Ravenna (OH), West attended the University of Cincinnati. West made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Seattle Seahawks, San Diego Chargers and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1981 was Jeff West's best year, as he dropped 16 punts inside the 20.
