Jay Turner (Jay Lewis Turner) was born on July 11, 1914 in Springfield, Missouri. After going to high school at (Tulsa, OK) and Oklahoma Military Academy, Turner attended George Washington University. Turner made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1939 was Jay Turner's best year.
