Jay Faatz (Jayson S. Faatz) was born on October 24, 1860 in Weedsport, New York. He made his Major League debut on August 22, 1884 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1888, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 0 home runs and 51 RBI. Faatz played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Spiders and Buffalo Bisons over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Jay Faatz's best season was 1888, when he stole 64 bases and knocked in 51 runs.
